Our Story at 5Vines in Calgary

Passionately Curated Wine, Craft Beer, & Spirits

5VINES began as a conversation around the fire. We wanted to create a space to provide a unique experience through our innate passion for quality, value, and service.

We were 5 kids who grew up on a ranch northeast of Calgary with nothing but 5 miles of gravel road to the nearest town. Our low-key upbringing gave us a strong sense of family and partnership we hope to incorporate every day into 5VINES.

When you visit us, you become part of our family, and you can trust us to find you the very best in wine, craft beer, and spirits.

We’ve Been Told There’s Something Different About Us

When you visit us, you’ll instantly see that this is no ordinary liquor retailer. Whether you’re in the mood to try a new craft beer, choose a premium spirit, or select a fine wine for a memorable occasion, we have you covered.

At our Growler Bar, we carry a selection of locally-brewed craft beer you can sample and take home. From double IPAs to fruity sours, we’d love to take you through a journey of flavour profiles so you can bring a growler full of delicious craft beer home for you, your friends, and family can enjoy.

If wine is more your speed, our Vine Club offers 3 or 6 Sommelier-chosen bottles of wine for you to pick up or have delivered every month. Complete with tasting notes, pairing suggestions, and invitations to exclusive in-store events, the Vine Club is the place for wine lovers!

If you love small-batch, rare whiskies, our Whisky Guild is for you! Enjoy a bottle of some of the best whisky from all over the world every 2 months as a member. Plus, get access to members-only discounts and invites to private whisky tastings and events!
